He is Risen!
This is the first and most important of all truths. That Jesus Christ, the Son of God, has died for you, to forgive you. He has conquered sin and death, and gives eternal life to those who follow Him.
We at Zion are a part of the Lutheran Church-Missouri Synod. As such, there is quite a lot to say about what we believe. If you would like an in depth look at our faith, please go here.
But simply put, we believe that God created the heavens and the earth, and all that is in them.
We believe that the Bible is God's Word, and it is the sole place where we find our rule and practice.
We believe that Jesus is the Christ, the Son of God, and that those who believe in Him have eternal life.
We believe that we are all born and remain sinful, and are constantly in need of a Savior.
One of the best ways we have to confess our faith, is in the ancient words of the Church, the Apostles' Creed:
I believe in God, the Father Almighty, Maker of heaven and earth. And in Jesus Christ, His only Son, our Lord, who was conceived by the Holy Spirit, born of the virgin Mary, suffered under Pontius Pilate, was crucified, died and was buried. He descended into hell. The third day He rose again from the dead. He ascended into heaven and sits at the right hand of God the Father Almighty. From thence He will come to judge the living and the dead. I believe in the Holy Spirit, the holy Christian Church, the communion of saints, the forgiveness of sins, the resurrection of the body, and the life everlasting. Amen!
